If we only knew...

At times it seems hard to understand that God is in our everyday lives...
We place Him in a box labeled "reserved for Sundays and special occasions..."
We ignore His call to come to Him, drowning it out by our worries and cares of this world...

But if we only knew who He was..we would better understand who we are.
The God of creation, He made the sun shine bright and the moon illuminate the night...
He dropped manna down from heaven for His people...
If we could only fathom the greatness of His Love and what He has done for us...
How He has had mercy on us time and time again...

No, indeed we are far from perfect....
But we serve a mighty God that helps us daily become more like Him...
So to understand God is essential, because it leads you closer to understanding who you are...
HIS CREATION!

Going through....

At times it's hard to understand...
Why we never get things in our demand...
It gets so hard the more we try....
We even sometimes ask, "God why?"...

And soon one day that time will come...
When we feel in our hearts we have already won...
When we start to set our priorities straight...
To put God first is what lifts our weight!!...

And then we look back and both laugh and cry...
Saying, "Oh God, that was why..
To make me stronger is what you wanted to do...
And now I will always give praise and thanks to You!"

**This poem came about so many years ago...just felt the need to post today. If you are going through a difficult time in life, just know that trials come to build character...PASS the TEST!**

Do you remember the time...?

Do you remember the time when you First met Him? Do you remember the time He came to meet you at your lowest..when no one else cared...when you didn't even care?...Do you remember the time when you were lost, lonely and hated yourself enough to let go...but you felt His presence?

Well I remember that time...the time where I hit rock bottom. When I was lonely, cold and sad. When I hated the world and myself. Where I had no remorse for anything and lived a reckless life. I was depressed, sad, hurt, forgotten, abandoned...I remember the time...

But then He came and sat with me. In my darkest hour...He sat with me...and protected me from danger to myself and from others. He was there with me when I didn't have anyone else to lean or depend on. He cared enough to stay with me during that time...

After that time, when I started living and enjoying life...He was still there...at times I wouldn't speak to Him for days..but He was still there...waiting for me to depend on Him again...

I can tell you from experience...the LOVE that Christ has for you is like no other! He will be there for you at your lowest and highest points in life. He never changes. The fact is WE change and tend to forget about Him when everything is going well. Neglecting Him, forsaking Him, denying Him..when He loved us at our lowest when no body was there...

So after all is said and done...will you still remember the time?...

Relationships

So, I have this journal where I write things down regarding my issues/concerns. It is basically journaling to God. I express my fears, desires, concerns at the moment. It is very interesting to see that the worries I once had, God worked it out in some way or another. It may not have been the way I wanted it to work out...but looking back, it was the BEST way it should have been worked out. You see, when God blocks or prevents something from happening in your life, it is ALWAYS to protect you. He is a good Father and wants what is best for His children. Think about it, when your own child wants something you know is not good for him or her would you give it to them? Of course not! You know that ultimately they will have to suffer the consequences if you do. Of course, you allow them to make their own decisions as to help them grow and develop and they learn their lessons from those decisions...just like Christ does us. I urge you to seek after God. Not for His hand, but for His heart. He is so amazing and open to wanting to hear from you. He loves you so much. He is not looking for your money or possessions...He wants a relationship with you. How many of us have earthly parents that we hardly talk to or visit? They would do anything to just have you sit and talk with them, but we are too busy. The same goes for your heavenly Father. All He wants is to commune with you. Will you invite Him to do so?

Stepping out on FAITH

So this year has been filled with so much excitement for me. I have moved three times within the past 2 years. I cannot believe that God is answering my prayers!? I guess He places these desires in our hearts?..I know that I have many other desires, such as traveling, going on missions trips, getting married. However I believe and have FAITH that these things will come to past. Not because of the things in particular, but just because my Father enjoys taking care of me. As long as I submit to His will. I believe He puts these desires in our hearts. He did create us of course. If I look back over all that God has done for me, I would never have believed 5 years ago I would be in the position I am in now and have the opportunities that have come my way. God is truly FAITHFUL..so why not continue to be faithful to Him? It sounds like I am using Him, but it really is the trust I have when I am doing what He says. It gives me joy and brings me closer to Him. He knows exactly what I need and what He needs to do to draw me closer to Him. Thank you Jesus, for bringing faith into my life.

By and By

There's this old hymn my mother used to sing..."By and by...when the morning comes...we will understand it better by and by..." But do we ever REALLY understand it? Do we understand the hurt and struggles of yesterday? Do we understand why life is so hard and we cannot get out of the rut and depression that we are in? Do we understand why some people in life get dealt the Ace, King and Queen, while others the Jack? I do not have all the answers to the questions of life, but what I do have is something everyone can have for FREE! A relationship with Jesus Christ. He is my Saviour, Healer, Redeemer, Lover. He lifts me up and gives me strength for the journey to come. So by and by can come and go...and we may never understand it..we may never understand the abuse as a child, the disappointments of relationships, or the misunderstandings from others. But one thing we can STAND ON is the Word of God. I ask you to think about this...who has ever loved you so much that they would send their son...their ONLY son, to die for you? Who loved you so much, that when they saw that there was no hope for you, they came to give you life...life more abundantly. Who loved you...like GOD, our father has loved you? He is everything GOOD! I don't think we can fathom His love for us...it's indescribable, hard to comprehend, the love, forgiveness and grace He has for us!
